COVID CIRCLE launches global COVID-19 researcher coordination platform

3 February, 2021

The UK Collaborative on Development Research (UKCDR) & the Global Research Collaboration for Infectious Disease Preparedness (GloPID-R) are excited to announce the launch of the COVID CIRCLE Researcher Platform. This is a public website to facilitate information sharing on COVID-19 research and bring together the global research community working on COVID-19 research, in and for low resource settings.

Key features are:

  1. COVID-19 Resource hub
Including the UKCDR & GloPID-R COVID-19 Research Projects Tracker, COVID-19 research reports, papers, guidance, tools and webinars collected from key organisations
  2. Map of global and regional networks relevant to epidemics research
  3. COVID-19 events from around the world
Global COVID-19 events including webinars, workshops and more

Researcher coordination is a pivotal element of the COVID CIRCLE initiative and this platform is part of COVID CIRCLE’s funders efforts to better support COVID-19 researchers during these extraordinary circumstances. We aim to enhance the impact and effectiveness of research during epidemics and pandemics and use this approach to inform future responses.

Research holds the answers and we can get there faster together.

If you would like to profile any events, or have resources to feature the platform, please get in touch with us at

COVID CIRCLE is funded by the Department of Health & Social Care/National Institute for Health Research (DHSC/NIHR), UKRI’s Medical Research Council, Wellcome, the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the Department for Business Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
